Autumn Soul is our National event for 13-18 year olds and is unashamedly about God and discipleship. It’s a great safe place if you’re exploring faith, living out your faith or if you have questions about faith.

About the Event

Autumn Soul is aimed at young people aged between 13 – 18. All under 18s must come as part of a group with male and female leaders. Each group leader can accompany up to eight young people. Each group must have a leader who is 21 and over for each gender in the group.

Once you are 17 you will also have the opportunity to serve on one of our volunteer teams.

Yes, there is a timetabled outline of the programme and we will give you more details on this closer to the event.
Autumn Soul has a prayer team of skilled and trained people, who are there to pray with you at the weekend (they will be wearing big badges so that you will know who they are). During the main meetings, you can approach the prayer team at any time to receive prayer. You don’t have to wait until a response is lead from the front. You will always receive prayer in two’s (that means there will be three people, you and two people to pray with you). No one should ever pray for you on your own. Also during the main meetings, a response for prayer will be announced from the main stage by the speaker or the hosts. They will guide you through this and explain how you can respond in prayer.

Bookings

On this page, just below the FAQ’s, you’ll find the booking section, where you will find a group booking form. Enter all of your details here and submit. Once received at the office, Liza will be in touch with your booking confirmation/invoice. Details of payment options are on the booking form.
Yes, however, we will retain the £10 or €15 deposit.
No, in this instance it would mean cancelling of 1 booking and adding another. If you are simply taking someone away send Liza an email on office@imycd.org. When adding others just make a new booking with only the additional details on there.

Accommodation

We work with various Churches in Bangor to provide church hall floors for you to sleep on for the two nights. It’s not glamorous, but it’s dry!
The week before the event the group leader will receive an email with final information and this will include which halls you are sleeping in during the weekend.
Yes, when you, the leader, fill in your online booking form there will be an opportunity for you to let us know if there are other groups you would like to stay with.
That very much depends on how many double air beds you bring! The more you share the more space you will have!

Miscellaneous

We suggest that you charge you phones at night in the halls you are sleeping in.
Unfortunately, we will not be able to provide Wi-Fi facilities. Should you have 3G or 4G on your phone, there will be sufficient coverage. With the new tariffs for north and south of the border now, those coming from the south should be able to use their usual contractual allowances.
In short… No!

On Sunday morning, we will all head to the leisure centre in Bangor for our National Dodgeball Tournament. If you are a participant in the games then there are showers available for you. Otherwise, you’ll need to bring a face cloth and plenty of baby wipes!

Mornings – You will find cereals, milk, bread, butter, jam, chocolate spread, tea, coffee, sugar and juice in the kitchen areas for you to eat. You are responsible for cleaning up after yourselves, too.

Lunch – On Saturday we provide sandwiches, pasta bowls, crisps, chocolate, drinks and fruit for lunch. Those who have allergies need to let us know in advance so that we can provide Gluten free, dairy free etc products. On Sunday lunch, we will have hot dogs, crisps, drinks, chocolate and some other surprises for you to eat.

Saturday dinner – Groups must purchase their own dinner on the Saturday night. There are plenty of takeaways, restaurants and coffee shops in Bangor for you to eat out of. Some groups are clever and book restaurants in advance. Others opt for takeaway and come back to the Church hall to eat it.

We will cater for any allergies as long as we know well in advance to order and supply the appropriate food products.
